Special Olympics

Active Start is dedicated to the development of Physical Literacy in children with intellectual disabilities and is a part of the long term athlete development program ( LTAD) which falls under Sport Canada's Canadian Sport for Life Initiative(CS4L).With aim of promoting fitness, physical literacy, and well being. 
 
FUNdamentals Program Ages 7-14  Saturday January 15th- June 4th 9am -10am

The Lake & Shore Community Recreation Centre is run as a municipally-owned, volunteer operated (MOVO) facility. The Lake & Shore Community Recreation Society is a non-profit organization created to allow for community-based management of the HRSB owned/HRM leased recreation center built as an annex to Porters Lake Elementary School .The Recreation Centre opened in September, 2011
